It’s human nature to wonder what would happen if we could go back in time and change something that happened, like say, a tragic event, knowing all that we do now. There are pros and cons to either side, with one wondering if you did change the course of what was truly destined to happen, what ramifications would occur? But yet, if you could prevent a tragedy from happening, wouldn’t you do whatever you could to stop it? These are just some of the questions that come to mind when reading The Resurrection Encounter: A Science Fiction Parable for a Nuclear Age by author Tom Skore.

Space begins to feel like a safer place than Earth when a shooting at Paul Connor’s son’s school; one adjacent to his daughter’s, rattles Paul’s nerves.  It seems even the alien inhabitants of the moon are distressed by the violence on Earth and seek Paul’s help to find a solution.  Could man’s first contact with an alien race be a goodwill mission to find peace on Earth, or do the aliens have something else in mind? Not only does Paul have to get his superiors and colleagues to trust and believe him, he must figure out if they can trust the Entity and their intentions.
